STORM ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE TO HIGH COUNTRY RESIDENTS

Sonora, CA-- A group of Tuolumne County organizations and volunteers are banding together to help residents affected by this year's winter storms.

These groups will be offering assistance to the elderly, disabled and low income individuals and families who continue to struggle with storm-related yard debris cleanup.

For more information on filling out an application or on volunteering, visit the following local Assistance Centers from May 9th through May 21st:

Monday, May 9th Church of the 49ers, Columbia; 12 noon - 7 pm
Tuesday, May 10th Sonora Senior Center; 11 am - 2 pm
Wednesday, May 11th Tuolumne Memorial Hall, Tuolumne; 12 noon - 7 pm
Thursday, May 12th Sonora Senior Center 11 am - 2 pm
Friday, May 13th Sonora Senior Center  11 am - 2 pm
Saturday, May 14th Mi Wuk Fire Department, Mi Wuk; 12 noon - 7 pm
or Groveland Little House 12 noon - 4 pm
Monday, May 16th Mi Wuk Fire Department, Mi Wuk; 12 noon - 7 pm
Tuesday, May 17th Mi Wuk Fire Department, Mi Wuk; 12 noon - 7 pm

Wednesday, May 18th Tuolumne Memorial Hall, Tuolumne; 12 noon - 7 pm
Thursday, May 19th Sonora Senior Center 11 am - 2 pm
Friday, May 20th Sonora Senior Center  11 am - 2 pm
Saturday, May 21st Mi Wuk Fire Department, Mi Wuk; 12 noon - 7 pm
or Groveland Little House 12 noon - 4 pm

Applications can also be filled out and dropped off at the Area 12 Agency on Aging  located on Standard Road in East Sonora, Monday through Friday between 8 am and 4 pm starting May 9th.
