Traffic Report for Highway 108:
SONORA PASS IS CLOSED FROM 26.4 MI EAST OF STRAWBERRY (TUOLUMNE CO) TO 5.3 MI WEST OF
THE JCT OF US 395 /SONORA PASS/ - DUE TO SNOW - MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO
USE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE
Sonora, CA -- Caltrans reports that there will be a couple of significant road closures this week.
The Highway 108 bypass will be closed from Hess Avenue to Standard
Road on Monday from 3:30-5:30pm. Crews will be blasting out rocks in the
area, so motorists will need to take an alternate route.
And if you're going over to Highway 140:
Coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, Highway 140 in Mariposa
County will be closed beginning at 11pm. The closure will be from
Streetwater Creek to Cedar Lodge. The highway will reopen the following
mornings at 5am. Crews will be doing maintenance work on the bridges
near the Ferguson Slide area, so you will want to avoid the area during
the late night and early morning hours.
I don't have any photos of local weather this past week since we were out of town. If you do, please send them to blythek@mac.com and I'll share them on the blog. Give a location if you can. And if you have any photos or ideas you'd like to share, send them my way. I'll get them up here for others to enjoy as well.
