FIRE SCARE ON THE EAST SIDE OF MI WUK

The sound of planes and helicopters began around 5.30 a.m. today on east side of Mi Wuk.  Cal Fire, Mi Wuk Sugar Pine Fire Department, and probably other agencies unknown to me responded quickly.  Since it was right over the hill from our home, I went out and took some photos.  I understand that ultimately the fire was contained to less than 4 acres but it gave quite a scare between 5.30 and 10 a.m. this morning.

 8:10 a.m.
 8:13 a.m.
8:23 a.m. MWSPFPD Apparatus standing-by at the end of Tiasmu Ct., on the forest boundary.
8:51 a.m., a bomber setting up for his drop
9.18 a.m.
9.20 a.m., preparing for another retardant drop
9:22 a.m. Jeff, bringing the coffee boost back to the Klipple home.  We met him on the trail.

These photos were taken between 8:10 and 9.22 this morning.  And tonight normalcy has returned, at least for the homeowners.
