The Incident Command reports that the fire is now 84% contained and 256,169 acres. Tonight fire crews will continue to patrol all areas of the perimeter up until midnight. The IC says this will be the final night that there will be an assigned night shift on the blaze.

1,791 firefighters are currently on scene. The number will continue to fall over the coming days.

At its peak, over 5,000 firefighters were battling the Rim Fire, and today the number is around 1,900.

The Incident Command reports that the fire is still 81% contained this morning and 255,858 acres. 323 structures are considered threatened. Highway 120 Tioga Pass re-opened yesterday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to be cooler today, but gusty winds could create additional fire activity inside the containment lines.
