IF you are in the Mi Wuk Heights Mutual Water District, they might have turned your water off today while working on fire hydrants or something like that. We do not know if it was District wide or isolated. We do have a hydrant in front of our house and it was very wet around it. I only know that at least this house, after having NO WATER for several hours that we know of, has minimal water pressure now----and our 'on demand' water heater doesn't get enough flow to tell it to heat the water. After working outside most of the day, we need showers! Really.
You might check your water flow. And pressure. We had the expected brown water when it first was turned back on and flowing. It's clear now. There just isn't much there. If you are having the same experience, or know what to do to get pressure back, please leave a comment or email me at
blythek@mac.com
And if you work for the District, please call 209-586-1962. We've left several messages. Turning off water without pre-warning customers is not a good idea.
P.S. Our next door neighbors have zero water. Not amusing. What if WE have a fire right here in this part of town?
